Why Jump2bFit®?

Rope skipping, or jumping rope is considered to be one of the most efficient tools to increase cardiovascular fitness while improving bone density and muscular strength. As part of an effective weight management program, it can also help in the fight against obesity and type II Diabetes. In addition to the health benefits of regular rope jumping, physical endurance, locomotive skills, balance, agility and motor coordination can be improved dramatically using individual and/or group activities.

Most importantly, as a non-competitive activity, jumping rope encourages the successful involvement of those most at risk for developing a sedentary life style - non-athletic children and youth. Kids increase their fitness levels and at the same time, their self confidence, which also aids their personal development and leadership skills.

Is the Jump2bFit® program difficult to implement?

NO. The program is easy to follow for PE Specialists, Classroom Teachers, Parent Volunteers, and Recreation Leaders.

Is Jump2bFit® strictly a School Based program?

NO. Since the program is straightforward and easy to run, it can be implemented by parent volunteers or community leaders in a wide variety of settings, indoors or outside.

What ages would benefit most from the Jump2bFit® program?

Although designed for 3rd to 9th grades, the Jump2bFit® Program has been used successfully for both younger and older children and youth in schools, community programs, and organizations.

Is there a requirement to Fundraise if I use Jump2bFit®?

NO. There is no fundraising requirement to participate in the Jump2bFit® Program. However, schools or clubs may elect to conduct a sponsored skipping event to raise money for their own school projects. Projects could include Physical Education equipment, library books, computer related products (software or hardware), playground equipment, school field trips/excursions or your school's favourite charity.
