Training with JumpFitTM

During the first few weeks, you will learn the basic skills and begin the endurance program. Thereafter you will maintain an aerobic workout and increase your speed, power and timing.

The JumpFitTM Program includes everything you need – a comprehensive, fully illustrated Manual with warm ups, basic to advanced skills and the Individual Interval Training Program (IITP) as well as the companion JumpFitTM DVD referenced to the Manual, and your performance and quality guaranteed jump rope (program may be purchased without the rope).

JumpFitTM includes the basics for non-jumpers, intermediate and advanced skills – it's easy to start whether you are a beginner or an expert jumper!

The Individual Interval Training Program (IITP) included in the JumpFit program combines aerobic conditioning with rope jumping skills that build speed and power and maintain timing. It is a unique and enjoyable way for athletes to develop desirable skills and improve cardio respiratory fitness. By using the prescribed progressions of the chart included in the JumpFit Manual, and learning the basic speed and power skills, rope jumping will become a safe and efficient training method – to be used in the pre-season, season and post-season.

The IITP can be used in off season training or during the playing season. All athletes, regardless of the sport, will benefit from this program. Sports that involve multi-directional changes, running or jumping, eye-hand-foot coordination, or require grip (racquet sports, baseball, or hockey), will benefit. A variety of footwork skills, including changes in direction, will improve agility, as required by the football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, or tennis player. The explosive power demonstrated by Double Unders will help to maximize the vertical jump required in basketball or volleyball.

JumpFitTM Manual

Complete instructions are given with progressions to lead you through the basics to intermediate and advanced skills. Cautions are given for healthy aerobic activity and instructions on monitoring your exercise program. A complete warm up and stretching routine will help you get started safely in each session.

The 24 page, fully illustrated Manual (with referenced demonstration clips in the companion DVD) is divided into easy to follow sections:
