JUMP2bFIT "Activities & Challenges for Kids"
Each JUMP2bFIT® Rope Skipping Fitness and Activity Program comes with a sample copy of the 30 page “Activities & Challenges for Kids” booklet designed for participants to record their progress in the areas of skill development and fitness improvement as well as their challenge scores. The booklets are a companion to the instructional manual and not to use alone. Additional booklets are available for purchase (by the half dozen) for use by participants in the JUMP2bFIT program.
Introduction
This 30 page “Activities & Challenges for Kids” booklet is designed for participants to record their progress in the areas of skill development and fitness improvement as well as their challenge scores. The booklets are a companion to the instructional manual and not to use alone.
Using the booklets with a group
Order enough booklets (or combination booklet/jump rope) for each participant.
If skippers do not have their own jump rope with which to practice at home, the instructor could keep the booklets and distribute them periodically to be completed and up-dated.
If skippers each have a booklet and their own jump rope, then the instructor could distribute the booklets so that skippers use them in their own time (e.g., during recess or lunch breaks at school, at home). Skippers then may bring their booklet to the instructor for signing or a parent/guardian may sign the booklet.
Overview of the sections provided in the booklets
Section 1 provides activities for skill development records. This section can be used as skippers learn skills and develop routines.
Section 2 provides charts to record the improvement of fitness.
Section 3 provides Rope Skipping Programs for a longer duration (e.g., a Six-week activity program, Fitness & Training Program for Athletes).
Section 4 provides charts for skippers to record their scores during participation in special events found in the Manual (e.g., Skip Across Challenge, Skip to a Million, 1000 Skips Challenge, Records Day).
