Attendant defines London’s quirky side; a tiny, coffee bar in a restored public toilet serving breakfast, impeccable coffee and cake, and light lunch!
Tucked in the heart of Central London in fancy Fitzrovia, a set of renovated steps take curious visitors down the rabbit hole of flat whites & cuppas.
These ornate, underground urinals once served the Victorian gentlemen of London. Now they serve diners 12 variations of coffee, & salted caramel tarts.
All ingredients used in the café are organic, suitable for all dietary requirements. They even serve Halal options!
Take your seat at one of the full size, porcelain urinals, and sip your coffee among the most elite, historical toilets in Fitzrovia!
I promise it’s not gross at all - in fact, quite the opposite! It’s a lovely, fun-filled experience full of laughter and amusement. 😁
Originally built in the 1890s, these public toilets were closed in the 1960s.
They sat boarded up for over 50 years, before being reimagined as an upscale coffee bar.
The Attendant has other locations in London, but only the Fitzrovia one has the urinals. They do not take reservations.
Don’t forget to leave your mark on their trademark wall of signatures before heading out!
