Cream together 1cup of sugar, 3/8 cup of butter, 1tsp of vanilla, 1/2tsp of salt and 1 egg. Add 1 1/2 cups of flour and mix.
When flour is fully mixed in, slowly add 1/2 cup of milk and mix. Pour into a greased or parchment-lined pan.
Add your berries! I used frozen strawberries but you could use any other fresh or frozen berries or fruit.
Sprinkle with a bit of sugar (I forgot this part!) and bake at 375 for about 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow to cool and then cut into slices or bars. This makes a dense cake/cookie-like treat. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
