A Themed Afternoon Tea Atop The Aqua Shard In London! 🇬🇧
Aqua Shard,a contemporary British restaurant & bar, with breathtaking views from the 31st floor, is renowned for its cocktails & themed afternoon teas.
Inspired by the adventures of Peter Pan on the island of Neverland, Aqua Shard created the Peter Pan Afternoon Tea.We, of course, had to check it out!
Drawing on popular motifs from J.M Barrie’s much loved novel, the afternoon tea was a fitting tribute to the author & his fictional characters.
Innovative treats were served on a custom-made tea stand inspired by Captain James Hook’s Pirate Ship, the Jolly Roger which symbolised pirate ships.
To start, guests enjoyed a savoury selection of finger sandwiches with a creative twist, including an ‘Enormous Mushroom Chimney’.
It also included a chicken sandwich topped with bacon wrapped in paper denoting the 4 ‘Lost Boy Rules’. Other items included Captain Hook croquettes.
In the sweet section, quintessential British scones were hidden in a special treasure chest, accompanied by sweet apricot marmalade & clotted cream.
A Tinker Bell shaped cookie, sprinkled with gold fairy dust, represented Peter’s feisty friend. Other sweets also included Hook’s Perish Cake.
& of course, all of it was washed down by a big cup of Adventure Tea! A lovely blend of black tea, sunflower blossoms, mango, ginger, lemon & orange.
It also helps that upon leaving the Shard, visitors are met with unmatched London views! Book an afternoon tea at the Shard;you won’t be disappointed!
