Acrylic Paint Pouring With An Egg Carton!
Lay down a newspaper, then wrap a shallow pan in plastic wrap (or use a disposable pan)
1
Cut off the lid of your egg carton
2
Make your pouring mixes - 1 part acrylic paint, 1 part glue, .5 part water (distilled is best), mix
3
Optional: If you want a specific flow of colors, make little dots to remind you which color to pour
4
After mixing, add single colors to the bottom row, add a little bit of a highlight color to the top
5
Notice the main color cups are filled higher than the highlight colors
6
Add a disposable layer in between that will allow your canvas to sit an inch or so above your pan
7
Paint your canvas (paint pour consistency is best) to help your main colors spread in the next step
8
Just above the edge, slowly start pouring paint in a zig zag motion, repeating again to fill in top
9
Tilt your canvas up/down, side to side, diagonally to manipulate the colors- add paint to fill in
10
Stop when you are satisfied! Or...
11
Take your egg carton to the other side and do another layer of paint pouring with reverse colors!
12
Let dry for 48 hours - there’s a lot of paint on here
