Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt
1
In a microwave safe measuring cup, heat milk and butter to 110-120 degrees (not too hot because you don’t want to kill the yeast)
2
Add the milk mixture into the dry ingredients, along with an egg and stir until well mixed and the dough is soft ans sticky
3
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 3-4 min until it just comes together (not too long so they will still be fluffy)
4
Spray a bowl with cooking spray and place the dough inside to rest for 10 minutes
5
Once dough has rested, roll it on a lightly floured surface to a 14x8 rectangle
6
Spread softened butter all over it
7
In a small bowl, mix together coconut sugar and cinnamon
8
Spread the cinnamon and sugar mixture all over the dough and use your fingers to really rub it in
9
Tightly roll the dough up
10
Using a very sharp knife, cut 8 buns
11
Spray the mesh basket of your air fryer with cooking spray and place rolls on basket
12
Place basket in air fryer and cover lightly with tinfoil. Heat your air fryer to “keep warm” and let rolls rise for 90 minutes
13
Once risen, remove the tinfoil and turn the air fryer to 350. Bake rolls uncovered for 7-8 minutes
14
While rolls cook, whisk together softened cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth for a glaze
15
After 7-8 in the air fryer, lightly cover the rolls with tinfoil to prevent too much browning and cook another 2-3 minutes
16
Once cooked, cover rolls with glaze and serve immediately
