Drain and rinse chickpeas well. Dry off between two layers of paper towels and remove any loose skins

Add chickpeas and toasted spices to a food processor

Add chopped onion, parsley, cilantro, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and cayenne pepper to the food processor

Process until broken down and paste-like with a few small lumps remaining. Scrape down the sides as needed

Transfer to a bowl and add chickpea flour and baking powder. Stir until well combined

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to develop the flavors

Preheat your air fryer to 350. For the falafel into 10 balls, each 2 tablespoons. Press them out to just under 1/2 inch thick

Spray the mesh basket of the air fryer with cooking spray. Place falafel inside leaving room between. Spray the tops of the falafel with cooking spray

Cook for 9-10 minutes until the tops are lightly brown. Gently flip the falafel and cook another 9-10 minutes until golden brown
