1 cup slivered almonds toasted at 180 degrees celsius for 15min

2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1 tsp baking powder

Pinch salt and 1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup cold unsalted butter

In another bowl crack 3 eggs and whisk

1 tbsp any oil and 1 tsp almond extract or vanilla essence

Mix both mixtures

Add in toasted and cooled almonds

Shape into log

Egg wash then bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 20min

Let cool then cut into pieces

Lay them down and place them back in the oven for 10 min on each side
