Happy Birthday Beach Drawing
Trace your sketch ... thick strokes for shadows and thin or broken strokes for highlights.
Add Happy Birthday calligraphy or lettering.
Let it dry completely!! Some inks take longer to dry before you can add water on top of them.
Paint the sand. While it's still wet, add a darker brown to make a shadow under the umbrella.
Paint the ocean. Use a lighter blue first. Then tap in a darker blue.
If your blue leaks more than you want, use a paper towel to blot it.
Use a pale blue to brush the sky. Leave white patches to give the appearance of clouds.
Paint plain water on the man. Blot some of the water for less paint spread. Tap red into the water.
Paint the shorts and book. Use whatever colors you like.
Time to paint the umbrella! Here I started with orange and tapped in yellow.
Let it dry completely before removing the tape.
Now, you have funny card to send to that special beach-lover in your life. Happy sunning!
