We’re going to cut circles from our fabric to create the flower.
1
Pin your folded fabric and use the mug, empty toilet roll and glue stick to trace circles on fabric.
2
Draw one circle for the mug and empty toilet roll. Draw 3 circles with the glue stick.
3
Cut out the circles on the inside of the pen line.
4
Now we’re going to burn the edges of the circles.
5
You’ll end up with 4 big, 4 medium, 4 small and 12 tiny circles.
6
Layer the big ones ontop of each other. Then layer the medium ones like this. Pin in place.
7
Pin in place.Make sure the ends of the circles meet in the centre and slightly overlap.
8
Use your needle and thread to tack down the ends in the centre. Remove pins when you’re done.
9
Repeat the steps twice for the smaller circles. Stack the last few circles and place in centre.
10
The last 2 circles go in the centre and stitch in place.
11
Add pearls to the centre. Pull thread taut to make sure it doesn’t curl around the bead.
12
Finish by ending on the wrong side and double tacking the same stitch.
13
Adding the flower to the aliceband to follow.
