Simple Tips for Taking a Dark and Moody Photo
Pick props, utensils and backgrounds that are dark in color. Light props draw the eye from the food
Move your table further from the window and close all other blinds except for your main light source
Make your food the brightest color in your shot! You want your food to stand out and not get lost
Use a black foam board to block some of the light if your shot is still too bright!
Play around with the angle, props and light source. Then it’s time to shoot!
