Asafeer & Jumbo Sweet Cheese *Katayef*
In a blender, add 2 cups warm water, 3 cups flour & 1/2 cup semolina

1 tbsp yeast & baking powder, 1/2 tsp vanilla powder & baking soda. Blend

Pour into bowl & cover for 1 hour

Heat griddle & pour preferred size

Remove once the bubbles pop & bottom side is a light brown

Add ashta & close sides. Then dip into crushed pistachios. Tastes great with nutella too. Enjoy cold

JUMBO SWEET CHEESE KATAYEF: pour two big pieces on the griddle

Melt a 1/2 cup of ghee in a small pot

Brush a baking pan with melted ghee & add katayef brown side down

Sprinkle sweet cheese then add second katayef piece on top. Seal both pieces together

Brush top piece with melted ghee

Bake for 10 minutes at 400°

Pour simple syrup, slice & serve warm!
