Sift the almond flour and keep it aside.

Heat a non stick pan, add sugar and water. Stir and let the sugar dissolve.

Add cardamom powder and mix it well.

Once it starts boiling, lower the flame and add the almond flour.

Using a whisk, mix everything together so there are no lumps.

Keep stirring on low heat for about 3 minutes until it starts leaving the sides of the pan.

Cook the mixture for around 6-8 minutes until you are able to form a dough.

To check if it’s ready, take a small piece of dough and see if you are able to form a ball.

Transfer the dough onto a parchment paper. Let it cool for a bit and then knead it.

Press the dough gently to flatten it a bit, place another sheet on top and roll the dough.

Apply edible silver leaves on the top.

Cut it into diamond shape using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.

Cool down and serve Badam Katli on Diwali or any festival.
