Basic Composition Tips for Food Photography
Position your main subject in the center of the scene
1
Use complimenting colors to brighten your subject. Here, a bit of green makes our reds really pop!
2
Sharpen the focus on your main subject by adding a depth of field, like adding a glass of milk!
3
Add a towel or linen napkin to add movement and help bring attention to your subject.
4
Determine what kind of shot is best for your food! An overhead will show us the top of our muffins
5
A 45 degree shot is also great, we can see more of the muffin as well as the milk in the background!
