Blackened Fish Tacos are full of flavor and super easy to make.
1
All you need: 2 fish fillets, 2 cups shredded cabbage, 1/4 cup cilantro, white wine vinegar, date nectar or honey, and spices.
2
Add 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar and 1 teaspoon date nectar to the two cups cabbage, plus salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
3
Add 1 tsp smoked paprika, and 1/2 tsp each of cumin, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a small bowl.
4
Mix well to combine spices.
5
Sprinkle the blackening seasoning over the fish fillets.
6
Make sure to generously coat the fish. Heat a cast iron skillet with 1 TBLS avocado oil over medium-high heat.
7
Cook fish 3-4 minutes on each side. Fish will flake easily when done. Remove from heat and set aside.
8
Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30-45 seconds per side.
9
To build your tacos, add cabbage mixture, top with slices of fish, then add any additional toppings you like. Makes 6 small tacos.
