Gather your clay and roll it into a thick tube.
1
Put your clay into the extruder and close the cap tightly.
2
Extrude your clay!
3
Press your clay together at the top and gently press the three strips onto your work surface.
4
Trim your braid to equal lengths. I cut 2.5 inch pieces.
6
Cut your toilet roll and resize it to be about 1 inch around. Secure with washi tape.
7
Pinch the ends of your braid lightly. Wrap the braid around your tube and press lightly.
8
Bake according to the clay package’s instructions. I baked for 45 minutes at 275°F.
9
When your clay cools, gently sand the ends of your braid.
10
Add a small amount of liquid clay to one end.
11
Press an earring post into the liquid clay.
12
Smooth a small chunk of raw clay over the top of the post.
13
Trim away any excess clay and clean up the edge.
14
Bake again! This time I baked for 30 minutes at 275°F.
15
All done! Enjoy your new earrings.
