Broiled Cod with Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

Prepare your ingredients before you begin. Preheat your broiler.
Pat cod dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in oven-proof pan over med-high. Add garlic, cook 30 sec. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
Add cod to pan. Cook 1 minute, then carefully flip.
Place skillet 6 inches under broiler for 6-9 minutes or until internal temp reaches 140F.
Remove from the oven and garnish with parsley and lemon slices, if desired.
