Scrap wood pieces. Let’s build a rustic tray!

Cut the scrap wood to size. Two for the base and two for the sides. I used my chop saw.

I sanded the edges to smooth. This adds a worn rustic look.

Let’s build the tray. Flip the tray upside down and line up the wood.

Screw from the bottom to attach the four pieces of wood.

Stain the wood tray. I used Ebony. Wipe on and allow to dry.

This stain shows amazing wood grain.

Dry and stained. Top and bottom. Let’s decorate the tray.

This is a transfer. You apply by burnishing down with a wood tool. I cut it up and use parts.

Remove the backing. Place gently. Rub down with the tool to adhere to the wood.

When the transfer is added remove the backing. So pretty!

Seal your tray. I used Satin Clear Coat from Dixie Belle. The Blue sponge is also from Dixie Belle.

I attached vintage hardware to both sides of the tray. Screwing down into the wood.
