Butterfly Card For Mother’s Day or For Any Occasion
Materials needed: markers, scissors, glue stick

And...half of a sheet of cardstock, 2 doilies (4.5” diameter or smaller), paper cut to 2 x 3.5”, scrap paper for butterfly body.

Fold in half , than fold in half again. Match edges carefully.

Mark a curve on each side of folded doilie. Cut.

Open up. Begin coloring.

More color! Outline edge.

Finish pattern by adding a third color. Leave some areas white.

Two designs.
Another way- Color randomly, add dots and outline.

Fold cardstock in half.

Using glue stick to attach butterfly. Glue down loose edges.

Add butterfly body. Use ribbon, paper or gems.

After you glue on butterfly body, draw on butterfly antenna.

We are going to add a pocket. You can make a greeting for any kind of greeting card.

Fold doilie to form pocket. Fasten with sticker.

An easy way to fold pocket...Fold doilie around card. (The card is 2” x 3 1/2”)

Put card with greeting into pocket.

Slide your card into envelope. You may decorate the envelope with drawings and greetings.

Don’t have the right size envelope ? Make a simple envelope with a sheet of copier paper.
