Buttery Blueberry Scones
Whisk milk & sour cream/yoghurt together

Whisk flour, sugar,baking powder, baking soda, salt & lemon zest

Toss the cold butter with the flour mixture

Pour in the milk mixture and fold into very shaggy dough

Place on floured surface and knead gently a few times until it comes together (don’t overwork)

Roll into a rough Rectangle

Fold over In thirds like folding a letter (doesn’t have to be perfect)

Fold short ends in to make a square

Transfer to a lightly floured plate & freeze 5 minutes

Place back on floured surface and roll into a square

Pour over the berries and

Press them into the dough

Roll and flatten dough seam side down

Cut in half and then cut each half in half

Cut each segment in half diagonally

Transfer to lined baking sheet & brush with cream, melted butter, or egg wash and bake

Allow to cool and enjoy as is or with a simple lemony glaze
