1
Find your preferred steak. It’s a personal choice ❤️
2
Pat dry steaks and place in a flat dish.
3
Drizzle with olive oil and generously coat in Java Momma Espresso Rub. Flip steaks and repeat.
4
Let them sit for at least 20 minutes at room temp up to an hour.
5
Turn on grill to medium-high. Place cast iron on grates to preheat while cutting potatoes.
6
Wash potatoes and leave skins on. Use whatever kind you like. I had russets on hand.
7
Cut into uniform pieces. Perfection not required.
8
Place into a bowl and toss with olive oil and Java Momma Tangerine Hibiscus Tea Rub
9
Add a generous drizzle of oil to hot skillet.
10
Add potatoes and close grill lid.
11
Cook for 15-20 minutes until soft.
12
Stir every 5 minutes or so to keep them from burning.
13
Make some garlic steak butter
14
Peel 1 clove of garlic and mince.
15
Place 2 T butter and minced garlic into a microwave safe bowl.
16
Microwave until butter begins to melt and garlic is fragrant. Mine took 9 seconds.
17
Stir together and place in fridge to firm up.
18
Once potatoes are soft, pour into a dish and set aside. Add a drizzle of oil and add steaks.
19
Close the lid and cook over medium high heat for 4-6 minutes.
20
Flip steaks and cook another 4-6 minutes until desired doneness.
21
Wash the tongs between flips.
22
Remove steaks from pan to a plate and let rest for 8 minutes.
23
Add a little more oil if needed to finish potatoes.
24
Add potatoes back to skillet and make two wells.
25
Add pats of butter in wells.
26
Crack an egg on butter. Salt and pepper at this step.
27
Cook eggs sunny side up or flip. Remove from heat when almost cooked through.
28
Serve it up!
29
Top steak with some garlic butter and dig in!
