Cheater Bolognese Sauce
To a pan add 2 TBS olive oil, and over medium heat, sauté one chopped onion.
1
Once the onions are soft and have a bit of color, add 28 ounces of diced tomatoes.
2
Add 24 ounces of marinara sauce.
3
With the empty marinara jar, pour in 12 ounces of red wine. Give it a shake, and pour into sauce.
4
Stir the wine in really well, then add 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1.5 tsp Italian seasoning, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes. S&P, too!
5
I added frozen cooked ground beef I had made, but feel free to add meatballs, sausage, or whatever you like! This sauce is great on it’s own, too.
6
Give it a taste to see if you need to add more seasoning, I thought mine needed a little more salt. It’s different every time, so tasting is key!
