Chicago Neighborhood Guide: Old Town
Old Town is a quaint neighborhood of boutiques, restaurants & entertainment. From the loop, take the CTA red line to Division walk east to Wells.
To your right is the neighbor's oldest restaurant. Walk that side of the street & look for numbered posts that explain area history...
1
...the numbered posts are odd on west side of street and even on the east side. Walk north to visit boutiques, and enjoy different restaurants.
2
Continue north on Wells and note a few places that are worth a visit, like La Fournette Bakery for chocolate or almond croissants!
3
For belly laughs on culture or current events, visit Zanies or Second City! (Tip: Casts of SC hang out at the OT Ale House, Chicago's best dive bar)!
4
Second City is 1/2 blk N of Wells & North Ave. Next, walk east on North Ave and travel 2 blocks to visit the Chicago History Museum ...
5
...or walk north on Wells for historic architecture (turn left at Eugenie St., walk to 300 blk). Also 1700 blk of Crilly St. (on right from Eugenie).
