Chunky Apple Yeast Bread
Add yeast to bowl.

Add lukewarm water and let stand 5 minutes.

Add lukewarm milk.

Add vanilla or vanilla bean paste.

Add 2 cups of the flour.

Switch to paddle attachment and add butter.

Switch back to kneading hook and start adding more flour.

Keep adding flour until dough wraps around hook and cleans the bowl.

Remove dough to floured work surface and knead a bit.

Form dough into ball.

Add dough to greased bowl.

Cover and let rise until doubled.

When dough has almost risen, prepare apple filling.

Peel, quarter, core and dice apples.

Add white sugar and cinnamon to medium bowl.

Add diced apples.

Stir to combine and set aside.

Remove risen dough to floured cutting board and deflate by pressing down.

Divide into two equal pieces.

Roll into 10x16-inch rectangle.

Scatter half the apple mixture overtop.

Roll up from the long side.

Cut filled log into 1-inch slices.

Gather it all up and add to a greased loaf pan.

Repeat with other dough piece and remaining apples. Cover and let rise until doubled.

Risen loaves ready to bake. Bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes.

For optional glaze: Add powdered sugar to small bowl.

Add maple syrup.

Stir until smooth.
