Cider Braised Apples & Chicken Thighs

Heat butter and olive oil over Med/high heat

Add seasoned chicken (seasoned with salt and pepper)

Cook 5-6 minutes each side until golden brown

Remove and set aside

Add apples and sauté

Remove and set aside

And onion,garlic,thyme, and bay leaf and sauté until onion is softened

Add hard cider, or apple cider or apple juice and scrape bottom of pan - cook off for a minute

Stir in broth and mustard

Add chicken back and reduce heat

and cover and cook until chicken is fully cooked through

Remove and set on platter if serving right away

Whisk in the flour water slurry

Return apples to pan

And serve apples with chicken along with the wonderful sauce

I served mine over cauliflower mash

Just be sure to serve it with something to enjoy the pan juices over it
