Gather the topping ingredients

Mix flour all flour, oats , and brown sugar then add diced butter

Cut butter into the dry ingredients until nice and crumbly .

Gather Apple filling ingredients

Peel , core and slice apples very thin.

Coat the apples with the cinnamon, sugar and juices.

Place the coated apples in a 3 quart baking dish and dot it with butter.

Top the apples with the reserved buttery oat topping

Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown

Serve warm with ice cream
