Gather your ingredients!
1
Begin with a clean and dry bowl!
2
Add your powdered sugar to the bowl and stir gently.
3
Mix in your cream of tartar.
4
Add in your condensed milk!
6
I used fat free condensed milk.
7
Once your mixture is well blended, add in your coconut and vanilla extract.
9
Time for the coconut!
10
The addition of the coconut makes the mixture a little bit harder to combine by hand.
11
Split your coconut mixture into equal parts!
13
Add the pink food coloring to one bowl of coconut. (Gel food coloring works the best.)
14
Prepare your dish.
16
I lined my baking dish with parchment paper.
17
Gently spread the pink layer of coconut in your prepared dish.
18
Now add the white layer.
19
I decided to sprinkle some of these on top.
20
Place your coconut candy in the fridge for at least 24 hours! (Cover in Saran Wrap before chilling.)
21
Remove from fridge and cut into little squares!
