Prepare your ingredients before you begin.

Combine flour, salt and pepper on a plate. Dredge the cod fillets in the mixture to coat.

Heat butter & oil in a large skillet over med-high. Add cod. Cook until opaque and flaky. Remove.

Add remaining butter, shallots & garlic. Cook 2-3 minutes to soften.

Slowly pour in the wine and raise heat to boil. Reduce by half. Add lemon juice and capers.

Place cod back into the pan to warm through.
