Copycat Olive Garden Breadsticks
In a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook add 2 1/2 teaspoons dry active yeast.

Then add 2 tablespoons sugar.

Add 1 1/2 cups warm water and let sit for 5 minutes.

Add 3 tablespoons melted butter and 4 1/4 cups bread flour.

Then add 2 teaspoons salt.

Mix to knead on low speed for 3 minutes.

Place the dough on a clean work surface and roll into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Have your kids help 😃

Cut into 1 inch strips (you can get about 12 breadsticks out of the dough).

Roll each strip into a long oval shaped breadstick and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Cover with a clean kitchen towel and rise for 45 minutes in a warm place.

When the dough has risen preheat the oven to 400 F. Brush with melted butter.

Sprinkle liberally with garlic salt. Bake for 12 minutes.

When done brush with more melted butter.
