Create a Two-Tone Finish (With No Paint Bleed!)
Apply your main stain color
1
Be sure you get the stain all the way to the edge to avoid bare spots on your final project
2
Wipe off excess stain and allow to cure for 24 hours
3
Apply painters tape along the edge adjacent to the surface you'll be painting
4
Now for the secret ingredient... Mod Podge!
5
Apply a layer of Mod Podge along your tape with upward strokes to seal the edge
6
When your Mod Podge dries, apply your paint
7
Remove your tape before the final paint layer dries completely
8
Look at that perfect edge... No paint bleed!
