Into a pot add 3-4 cups water & 1 cup soaked & drained Moong Daal

Add 1 chopped onion, 2 med chopped tomatoes, 4 to 5 garlic cloves & 4-5 green chilies.

1/2 chicken cube, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp haldi

Add in 1 tsp Shan Daal Masala.

Mix and bring to a boil. Lower flame & let it cook on simmer

Using a hand blender, buzz up the daal to blend it (optional)

Tarka: 1/2 sliced onion, 1 tsp zeera, 8-10 red button chilies, 2 garlic cloves chopped, sliced green chilies & Kari patta.

Pour over cooked Daal. Turn off stove.
