Dad’s Creamy & Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

Add onion slices between the potatoes

Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in a bit of flour and some of the milk.

Keep adding flour and milk alternately and whisk until a thick sauce forms

Add in shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt & pepper

Stir until the sauce is nice and melty and pour over the potatoes and onions

Shower with parmesan & gruyere cheese and bake again
