Dal Makhani - Black Lentil Dal
Soak the Black Lentils and Bengal Gram overnight

Pressure cook the lentils with some salt & oil

Now, heat some ghee or oil in a pan and temper it with Bay Leaf & Shahi Jeera ( Carraway Seeds)

Add the Tomato, Ginger & Garlic paste to it

Once the mix reduces to half, add Cumin Powder and Coriander Powder

After couple minutes of sauteeing, add the cooked lentils

Give everything a mix, add water as needed

Let this simmer for atleast 20 minutes. Keep stirring or it will stick and burn at the bottom. Add fresh cream for richness.

Add chopped coriander leaves and serve
