Wash the black urad dal 3 to 4 times by scrubing it with your hands until the water is clear and soak it for 4 hours

Transfer it in the pot for boil

Add salt, boil it for 60 minutes and stir it every few minutes

Discard the foam which is on the top of the dal

Another pot add 2 tbsp of butter

Add 1 tbsp of ginger, garlic and green chilli paste

2 tsp red chilli powder

2 tsp of kashmiri chilli powder

2 tsp of paprika powder

Salt according to your taste preference

1 can tomatoe paste

Mix it until the oil separates

Transfer the tadka on the Dal

Use a potato smasher smash it on the Dal and stir it frequently

Enjoy Garnish with butter corainder leaves and you can also add fresh whipping cream
