Date And Walnut Cake
In a mixer, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup oil, and 5 eggs until combined

Mix 2 cups flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, cardamom, ginger, clove & cinnamon

Add the dry ingredients to the mixed wet ingredients & mix using electric or stand mixer to combine

Mash together the pre-soaked and pitted dates until you form a paste

Add in the dates and chopped walnuts to the cake mixture and mix until well combined (using mixer)

Add the cake batter to a buttered and floured pan. Bake at 325F for 60 mins or until done

For the glaze melt 1/4 cup butter with 1/4 cup sugar & 2 tbsp thickened cream, simmer on med heat
