To get to Whidbey Island, you'll need to take the Mukilteo Ferry (40 minutes drive from Seattle).

Crossing time is only 20 minutes, and they have puzzles and games you can play on the upper deck.
The quaint, waterside town of Langely is a 20 minute drive from the Clinton Ferry Terminal.

Start with brunch at The Braeburn. They have great ambiance and lots of vegetarian-friendly dishes.
Walk around downtown Langley and check out the various boutiques, artisan studios, and thrift shops.
Get back in your car and head to Coupeville just north of Langley for lunch and more water views.

If you're in the mood for dessert, grab a waffle cone from Kapaw's Iskreme on Front Street.
If you are a nature lover, drive up to the Deception Pass Bridge for breath taking view points.

You can also hike, fish, and camp in the Deception Pass State Park if you choose to stay overnight.
On your way back to the ferry, stop at Ebey's Landing to watch the sunset and walk on the beach.
