STEP 1 - Start with a dry base coat of white or off white and cut your paper slightly oversized

STEP 2 - Coat with your water based clear poly varnish of choice

STEP 3 - Line up your paper on one side and smooth it down across the wet poly and gently rub across

STEP 4 - Cover any accidental tears or missed spots with smaller bits of paper

STEP 5 - Coat top with the clear poly acrylic varnish - it will wrinkle a bit but just let it dry

STEP 6 - Once dry, sand off the overhang using downward and sideswipe movement

EXTRA TIP - If there are any small wrinkles left once dry, iron smooth over parchment paper

STEP 7 - Lightly scuff with fine grit sandpaper (220-400 grit)

STEP 8 - You can now do any paint blending or dark wax antiquing (like here) on edges or over image

STEP 9 - Once painted & blended to your preference, finish with final protective top coat of choice
