Dip Powder French And Colour Application Step By Step
Firstly make sure the client thoroughly wash’s their hands and applies gel to clean prior to dipping into the powder
Gently Push the cuticles back and remove cuticle from the nail plate, file the free edge and brush away the dust
Lightly buff the nail plate removing the shine to prepare for dip application
Saturate a lint free wipe in the nail surface cleanser, using pressure cleanse/scrub the nail plate to prep the nail for dip application
Scrub into the nail plate the dip prep this works the same as PH Prep
Apply the dip base coat, use sparingly for the 1st coat and leave a slight margin near the cuticle area ready for the next layer to over lap. Tap off
Use a soft brush to remove excess product before going in with your 2nd coat, if product gets onto your brush it will harden it
apply base using more product than the 1st layer and dip, holding for 2 secs then tap off. You need to be more generous with the base on this layer
With a soft brush remove excess powder ready for the next step, if you fail to do this you will ruin your brush in the base and top coats
Apply activator this will set the product. Once fingers have been applied blot with a lint free pad to remove excess product.
Once blotted apply a coat of base prior to filing, filing will be crumbly and you could run the risk of removing too much product if not applied
clean your bottle with gel remover on a pad, apply cuticle oil around the rim and in the lid, stops the lid from getting stuck as this will happen
Once the base coat is dry, use aspect file, take the shine off the nail and smooth the dip, if applied to thickly this is the stage you would de bulk
Using a soft dusting brush remove the dust from filing
Once filing is finished and you are happy with the result, apply activator again over the entire nail plate
Anytime after using activator always remember to blot the Excess product away prior to the next step to ensure You keep your brushes tip top
Once you have blotted apply a thin even coat of dip top coat, I tend to do x2 coats of this for ultimate protection and shine
Once you have finished with your top coat ensure to clean with remover and apply the oil around the rim and in the lid, look after your products
To finish the treatment using artistic cuticle revive, place under the free edge of nail, let it run down to the cuticle area before rubbing in.
Princess is the dip colour of my choice today, can be used as a french or a full nail colour
My go to french colours are peach whip and bride
Creating a french with glitter powder is tricky and is very hard to keep away from the rest of the nail but is effective if managed
