DIY Concrete Planter
Grab your materials.
Cut foam to fit inside cabinet using a circular saw or knife.

Leave 2” of space between foam & cabinet walls. Use construction adhesive to glue the foam together.

Measure distance from foam & the top of the cabinet to mark the place to drill the hole for the pipe

Cut back the foam to make room for the pipe.

Unscrew spigot, insert pipe and tape down with duct tape.

Use silicone to seal pipe.

Tie a strap around the box to keep the edges from folding out.

Seal up any cracks or holes with duct tape or caulk.

Mark a line 2 1/2” above the top of the foam. Then start mixing the concrete.

Fill the cabinet with concrete up to the line.

Push the wet concrete down into all the cracks & corners of the concrete and vibrate with a hammer.

Press plywood into wet concrete.

After concrete has dried, take off the sides of the cabinet.

Dig out the foam from the concrete mold.

Screw wheels into the plywood under the concrete mold.

Screw on the spigot and seal it with caulk.

Test your new spigot with water.
If using as a planter, put down a drainage layer of gravel before adding soil.

It can be used as an outdoor cooler too!
