DIY Desk Made From Plywood and 2x4s

Use a circular saw to cut 2 sheets of oak veneered plywood.

Make sure to put 2×4s underneath the plywood to not mess up the floor. Then cut the narrow pieces.

Cut the board directly in half to make identical pair pieces that are the exact same length.

Sand & cut the 2×4s to make structural supports for the desk.

Measure a door, drill a hole & use a jigsaw to cut the door for putting charging cables in.

Stain the pieces with a foam brush. Let it sit for 3 minutes & rub off excess with a clean rag.

Glue & screw in 2×4s to the back of the plywood that will be the back of the desk.

Screw together the small 2×4s with finish screws. Then place all pieces together with screwdriver

Screw plywood to 2×4s to make shelves for the desk. Screw the shelve to the plywood back.

Screw in the plywood side panels with finish screws. Make sure to have a person hold it in place.

Screw another piece of plywood over the face of the 2×4 & screw the shelf into place on the desk.

Glue some scrap wood on the underside of the desk & make a hole under the desk to hide cables in.

Hide the screw heads with wood putty & once dried add some wood stain to completely hide them.

Paint on a Clear Matte Water-Based Interior Polyurethane all over the desk.

This is a simple build that can be made with basic materials & a few tools.
