You will know when the gel is done when it is the consistency of raw egg whites.

Remove pot from heat. Add 1/2 to 1 tablespoons of your favorite oil. (optional)

Place a strainer over a bowl or measuring cup. Pour mixture into the strainer.

Use a spoon to help move gel through the strainer. You should end up with about 1-2 cups of gel.

You can use these same flax seeds to make another batch. Just pour the seeds into a glass container and store in the refrigerator.
