DIY Light box For Photographing Objects
Gather you materials: your object to photograph, a light, tape, a sheet of white & black paper
1
Keep in mind the size of the object. The larger the object, the larger paper you will need
2
With the paper longways, add a tape tab to the bottom and top edges
3
Tape the paper against a wall from a surface. Keep paper rounded as it bends. Don’t crease it
4
Position your object in the middle of the paper, with room at the front, sides, and behind it.
5
Position your light at an angle so it casts a slight shadow
6
Step back and make sure you like how the object is positioned and lit. Adjust if needed
7
Use your phone or camera and zoom in so only the object and background show
8
Don’t zoom too close. Leave room around the object
9
Now take the pictures!
10
Experiment with black paper, or even colors!
11
Light objects will pop against a dark background, and dark objects will stand out against light ones
