DIY Light box For Photographing Objects Gather you materials: your object to photograph, a light, tape, a sheet of white & black paper Keep in mind the size of the object. The larger the object, the larger paper you will need With the paper longways, add a tape tab to the bottom and top edges Tape the paper against a wall from a surface. Keep paper rounded as it bends. Don’t crease it Position your object in the middle of the paper, with room at the front, sides, and behind it. Position your light at an angle so it casts a slight shadow Step back and make sure you like how the object is positioned and lit. Adjust if needed Use your phone or camera and zoom in so only the object and background show Don’t zoom too close. Leave room around the object Experiment with black paper, or even colors! Light objects will pop against a dark background, and dark objects will stand out against light ones
