DIY Tie Dye Face Mask.
12 STEPS
Begin by tie dying your fabric. Place elastic bands around your fabric to create desired design.
1
Apply dye to the fabric and wrap in cling wrap. Leave to set for 6-8hours.
2
Wash out excess dye and allow fabric to dry before ironing.
3
Download template and cut out 2 pieces of fabric for each layer. You should have 6 pieces in total.
4
Match right sides of each piece together and sew along the curved edge with a 1cm seam allowance.
5
Snip into seam allowance of the curved seams and press open.
6
Pin the outer layers together with right sides facing in. Then add the middle layer to the outside.
7
Sew around the top and bottom edges of the mask with a 1cm seam allowance. Then turn right side out.
8
Pin trim onto mask. Top stitch along top and bottom edge of mask to secure trim in place.
9
Fold under the seam allowance at each end of the mask and top stitch in place.
10
Fold back and pin a 1cm seam at each end of mask. Put the hair elastic inside and sew in place.
11
To finish, cut and hand sew daisy trim onto mask to decorate! Your mask is now ready to wear!
