Donut Tumbler Drip Tutorial
Sand and prep your tumbler.
1
Add glitter and coat with one layer of resin. I use Counter Culture DIY Artist Resin.
2
Once resin is cured add a bit of color around the rim. I use the same dispersion color as my drips.
3
Dispersion color is from Counter Culture DIY
4
This is the silicone brush used to paint the rim. Found at target in the makeup section.
5
Mix equal parts of resin. I use 10 ml Part A and Part B of Counter Culture DIY Artist Resin.
6
Nice N Thick from Counter Culture DIY
7
Add in Nice N Thick one scoop at a time.
8
Mix well. Once mix is smooth you can add another scoop to make it thicker.
9
Add a little powder at a time. Make sure your mix is smooth before adding another scoop.
10
Continue adding Nice N Thick to reach the thickness, making sure to break up any clumps of powder.
11
Test your consistency by scraping some to the rim. If still runny add another scoop.
12
Now to add your color. Start small (I added 3 drops), you can always add more if needed.
13
I wanted it a bit brighter so I added 2 more drops. Making sure all the color is mixed in good.
14
Start with a small scoop of resin and start adding to the edge of the rim.
15
Continue adding your colored resin until you reach the desired thickness of your drips.
16
You can go through and touch up any areas by adding a bit more resin if needed.
17
Once you are satisfied with your drips it’s time to add the sprinkles!
18
Lightly sprinkle them on.
19
Using a small set of tweezers, adjust or add sprinkles to fill in areas.
20
Push any stray sprinkles down. Pay close attention to the ones around the rim.
21
Let your drips cure then add your decal and a final coat of Artist Resin.
22
Add your favorite beverage and enjoy!
