Easy Bakery-Style Jam Crumble Bars
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, kosher salt, and baking powder.
Cut butter into flour until it appears sandy and forms fine crumbs. (Or pulse in a food processor.)
Stir milk and almond extract into the flour mixture until just combined. Don’t overmix.
Press into a lined and greased baking pan in an even layer. Bake at 375°F, 12-15 mins.
In the same bowl, combine flour, light brown and granulated sugars, salt, baking powder, and spices.
Stir in rolled oats and cut in cold butter until the mixture is crumbly.
Spread your favorite jam or preserves over the hot crust. Sprinkle with the crumble topping.
Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool, dust with powdered sugar, cut into squares, and serve.
