You will need five pieces of 12 x 12 scrapbooking pattern paper. I am using paper that has patterns on both sides.

You need a paper punch, scissors, jute rope (ribbon or bakers string), double sided adhesive, and bone folder (something to make a crease).

Fiskars Paper Cutter or ruler and scissors can be used.

I am using two heart die cuts. You could use a Cricket to cut hearts or make your own template from cardboard. You will need two different sizes.

I will be using the Big Shot with my heart die cuts. Another option would be to use two different sized cookie cutters to trace hearts.

Begin by cutting your paper into 5 x 12. You will only need to do this if using the Big Shot so it will fit.

Put your die cuts on the paper between the plates.

Run through Big Shot to cut out your hearts. I cut out twelve large hearts and twelve smaller hearts to layer.

Again, you will have 24 hearts. Twelve large hearts and twelve smaller hearts.

I used one large heart as a template to hole punch all twelve of the larger hearts only.

Punch all of your twelve large hearts on each side.

Fold your smaller heart in half.

Use your bone folder or pop sickle stick to make a crisp crease.

Now we are going to add a piece of double sided adhesive to the back of the smaller hearts in the crease as shown in the photo.

Remove the adhesive plastic backing.

Press the heart to the larger heart. You can fold up the sides to make it appear 3D.

Tie a knot on one end leaving some extra jute/string on the end.

I threaded the jute through the front right hole to the back and through the other hole so the jute was in the back of the heart.

After all your hearts have been threaded on the jute, tie a knot at the opposite end. Leave extra jute for tying up your garland.
