Homemade cinnamon rolls are the perfect holiday breakfast!

You’ll need: flour, granulated sugar, salt, yeast, water, milk, butter, egg, cinnamon, brown sugar, and powdered sugar.

Whisk together 2.5 cups of flour, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2.25 teaspoons of yeast.

Heat .5 cup water, .25 cup milk, & 3 tablespoons of butter until it reaches 110-115 degrees. Add to the dry ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer.

Use a dough hook to mix on low until a soft, elastic dough forms. Let the dough rest for 3-5 minutes.

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface, and form into a rectangle. Spread the softened butter over the dough.

Top with 4 tablespoons of cinnamon (adjust to taste) and .5 cup of brown sugar.

Roll the dough into a long “log.” Then cut it int 10-12 equal pieces.

Place the unbaked rolls in a greased baking dish and allow to rise for 30 minutes to an hour (until doubled in size).

After the rolls double in size, bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until they’re golden brown.

Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool until they’re warm but won’t melt the glaze.
