Mark how wide you want your bracelet with an embroidery marker. Width will depend on the buckle size
1
Measure your wrist. On the felt mark 1”, then a 1/2” less then your wrist measurement, then 1”
2
If you want to plan out your design use an embroidery marker. The design can be simple or ornate
3
Put the felt in an embroidery hoop. If the full design doesn’t fit that’s ok
4
Thread your needle and knot the long end of floss
5
Embroider however you’d like. I used stem stitch...
6
Reposition your felt in the hoop so you can finish your design
7
After you finish the embroidery, remove felt from the hoop and cut out the strip
8
Choose a backing. This will be 1/4” shorter than embroidery on each side. Mark 1/4” in on each side
9
Put both layers into the embroidery hoop
10
Attach your backing using a whip stitch. Stitch both long edges, between the two marks you made
11
When you’ve finished whip stitching tie off the back, remove from the hoop and cut backing to size
12
Insert the felt into the buckle on both sides. You can double check length now as well
13
Whip stitch the folded over felt to the backing, tie off. Repeat with both sides
